The elusive 10 pound weight loss goal. Anyone who wants to lose weight usually starts this off as their initial goal. Its a nice round number and can be repeated as many times as needed to achieve your final weight. But how is it done?

cutting calories and increasing physical activity,

loss of eight to 10 pounds per week.’

Lets face it, that’s impossible!

The only possible way to lose weight is to use more calories than you intake. How do increase the amount of calories we use? One way is to lead a more active lifestyle but many of us don’t have that liberty. The other is to increase our metabolism, which burns calories 24/7.

After going through tons of fad diets and weight loss programs, the best program I could find that allowed me to eventually lose 10 pounds a week was Fat Loss 4 Idiots.

The main focus of this book is on calorie shifting. This system tells you how to eat properly to maximize your metabolism rate to the point where you will consistently burn more than you consume (which is how your lose weight so fast!).

How do I lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks?

Starting from 135 (5'8")
I'm usually around 125, so that's my goal. I am always exercising in one way or another, but I can't seem to lose any weight. Is it possible for me to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks?

It IS possible to loose 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Don't listen to the above poster. I've done it.

It's not very healthy, and it totally wrecks your metabolism, but if you are serious about it, and you have the self-control, here is what you do:

Toss all juck food away in your house.
Drink water like a fish.

Completely restrict diet. Don't eat any meal that's larger then your fist. No snacking at all.

For breakfast eat one or the other:
Egg white
Non-fat yogurt
Sm. bowl cereal (non-fat milk)

For lunch:
drink water
drink hot green tea
drink a bullion cube in hot water.

For dinner, eat steamed broccoli. A small peice of chicken or fish - again, don't eat anything bigger in size then your fist.

Drink tons of water.

Go to bed early.

Do all this, and you will lose 10lbs in probably LESS then 2 weeks. You'll feel like crap, and you have to be careful when you get to the weight you want, because you'll gain it all back in a couple of days when you start eating normally again. But it will work.

How to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks?

I need to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Is there a way that I can do this without changing my diet or exercising? I eat pretty well, eating how many calories I should eat in 1 day and I exercise every other day. Ballet on mondays and then I run a mile and a half every other day. Please help!

Why do you need to lose ten pounds? If your diet and exercise are already that good there is very little short of surgery that you can do. I would not advise losing any more weight.

How do I lose 10-20 pound fairly quickly?

I am 15 and 5,8 ,weighting a bit less then 150 pounds. I am looking to drop 10-20(fat). I am average-big,but certainly not overweight. I mainly and a looking to lose weight on my stomach and thigh area. I want thing easy to do in the home(New to my school so I missed sports). I like exercise. How many sit up…. I know a diet is necessicary too? I want effectivness ,but not too crazy
I do lift, But one of my main concerns is my stomach area. What could be done to help that.

Also, I doubt a no card diet would work, I know if you stop, You regain weight really fast. I was thinking a low calorie diet. About 500-1000 calories a day

Don't try to lose 10-20 pounds quickly or they will come back. Lose them gradually. Losing them gradually will be losing them permanently. You can lose 10-20 pounds by eating a balance meal, check mypyramid.gov. And by getting regular exercise, at least three times a week. I would recommend you do sports outside of school.

Does any one know any diet tips to lose 10 pound quickly?

I've already lost wieght and I've been stuck for at the same wieght for awhile. I really want to get to 115lbs. If anyone knows and good diet pills you can get easily or some trick you could use, that'd be great.

try to detox! lots of water fresh lemon juice and mustared

also i was on liprovarin and that gave me a lot of energy

if your a runner start running with weights on your leggs

make your diet way high in fiber and protien

Yeah.
I wanna lose it in like, a month or less.
10-15 pounds.
No crash diets.
No exersising besides gym..
No diet pills.
Well, k, maybe I would exercise a bit. But if youre going to tell me to exercise, give me some exercises I could do in my room.

Is it possible to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks?

I’m moving to college in 2 weeks and I wanted to know if it’s possible to lose 10 pounds by the 24th of August. I’m currently 5′1″ and about 110 pounds, ideally I’d like to be 100-105 pounds.

Please help?
I already walk and jog about 3-4 miles 5 times per week but I have a hard time with the eating part.

when you are already that low in weight, it gets harder to lose. You can lose those 10 pounds, but it will take more than 2 weeks to do it healthywise.

(your going to have to eat better btw) It sounds like you have the excercise part down, try to put soem light weight lifting in. Free weights will raise for metabolism and help to burn more calories. You may gain a pound, but muscel wegihs more than fat.

I am 16 years old and I weigh 160 pounds. I just joined a gym . Do you think that it is possible to lose 10 pounds in a month?

To achieve any weight loss, you really need to excercise and eat an overall healthy diet that consist of complex carbohydrates (whole wheat foods that would be great for fiber and needed nutrients), lean protein to help build muscles and repair your body, and good amounts of fat for energy and needed nutrients the body needs that your body cannot create on its own. By eating every 4 or 5 hours (having 4 or 5 smaller meals instead of 3 big meals), it helps to keep your sugar levels balanced and prevent dips. Then you are more likely to take in less calories throughout the day.
By making a few adjustments to your current diet (such as switching to water in place of juice and soda, etc, snacking on fruits and raw veggies instead, chosing whole grain products instead of enriched foods, etc) can also help you to shed some weight (depending on how your current diet is). Also cooking healthier (using a cook spray, switching to olive oil, grilling and steaming more often than pan frying and deep frying, etc.) And to help lessen your sweets consumption, try at least limiting yourself to only 2 or 3 a day. And try having healthier sweets like yogurt, all fruit frozen bars (some are only 90 calories each, and with calories so low, that a treat you could possible have each day), jello, 90 calorie or lower pudding cups, fruit, and low calorie ice cream bars (such as skinny cow, weight watchers, etc.)
If you try interval cardio training and some weight lifting/resistance training, not only will you lose weigh, but you will also help your body become more leaner and tone looking and your core will become stronger.
Try doing some ab work and don’t forget to work out your obliques (your “love handles”)
Also because muscle does weigh more than fat, you may be heavier essentially, but leaner too. Eventually the more muscles you will build, the more weight you can burn. More muscles will help you burn more calories at rest. And then eventually the fat/weight will come off… but everything takes time. Remember, it is possible to be leaner and stronger, but weight more. But don’t give up and stay motivated… we all hit plateus. Also remember, that every one is a different individual and that we all lose weight from different places at different times. Your body choses when it is time, just be patience.
And please note that if you try to lose a lot of weigh in a short amount of time, your body will really go through some health problems. Some risks could be that your hair may grown thinner, your periods may not be regular anymore (which is not a good thing), and your stomach system will be working slower, etc.
Realistically, if you lose weigh the heathy way, then 1 to 2 pounds per week is a reasonable amount per week. Anything more, may be due to water loss or you have decided to go the other route and lose weigh by starving yourself.
So it is pretty reasonable to lose 8 to 10 pounds in a month if you are truly dedicated and just keep at it. But remember that the number on the scale doesn’t define you… you define you. The scale can’t tell you how great you look in your jeans or how you feel… so don’t rely so heavily on that scale. Our bodies’s weight constantly fluctuates all the time… so it isn’t always so reliable.
